What – Youth/Mission trip
When – July 5-10, 2016
Where – Black Hills of South Dakota (Custer, SD.)
Why – Faith, Fun, Fellowship, Friendship, Service, Beauty
The St. John Youth Board would like to invite any St. John students currently in 6th through 12th grades to join us on a youth/mission trip to the Black Hills of South Dakota. We would also encourage each student to bring a friend. Please sign up by June 7th on the bulletin board outside of the Youth director’s door.
We hope to complete some service projects for locals in need and we will work at Devils Tower National Monument and work at Custer State Park. This may include building ramps, fixing trails, picking up trash, piling brush etc. Don’t forget to bring work clothes.
We also plan on having some fun! We are going to visit Crazy Horse Memorial, Mt. Rushmore, hike a trail, drive Iron Mountain Road, take the wildlife loop in Custer State Park and more.
We are estimating the cost for this trip to be around $150 per person. We are also asking for donations from the congregation for bus money! Our gas bill will probably be around $500.
Please consider joining us or making a donation to the trip! Watch and listen for more information coming soon!
