Holy Communion

Celebrated the first and third Sunday at all services.

Holy Baptism

Performed after consultation with a pastor. Baptisms are held during the service best suited for the parents and sponsors. For more information or to schedule a baptism please contact a pastor.

Baptism is being born again.  We are all born under the power of sin and cannot free ourselves.  In Baptism, our loving God frees us from the power of sin and death by joining us to the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.  This new and eternal life is a gift of God and so we joyfully Baptize people of all ages.  In Baptism we are made members of the Christian Church and then God’s Spirit leads us as we grow in faith, love, and obedience to the will of God.

Traditional worship services
are typically more formal. They are held in the sanctuary, the main worship area of the church. The pastor will usually preach the sermon from the pulpit, and the music is led by a pipe organ. We typically follow the Lutheran Book of Worship (the green book) liturgy, but sometimes we will use other liturgies and music. The church holds as many as 650 people. Worship attendance is about 150-250 people for each service.

Celebrate Worship Service is a more casual worship service. The service is held in the parish hall (a large social gathering room). Coffee is available at the back of the room as you enter the parish hall. Seating is rows of chairs and round tables. The message of the day is delivered at the front of the room from the pastor. Music is led by an instrumental/vocal group called "Wings." "Wings" is comprised of piano, guitars, percussion, and men and woman vocalists. Songs sung by the congregation are projected from a computer, as well as prayers and other messages. This service is about 40-45 minutes long.

Sunday School

Sunday School classes are held every Sunday at 9:00 AM from Labor Day to the beginning of May. Classes are divided between grade levels. Each grade level K-9 has its own class and teacher. High school students are grouped together.

Each Christmas season the Sunday school students participate in planning and presenting a Christmas program.
