Kid friendly & Handicap accessibility

entryZero degree entry

The main entrance to our church, under the canopy, allows easy access for people with strollers, walkers, or wheelchairs. It gives complete access to our entire first floor. Our preschool and basement zero degree entry is located along Gilbert Street with a driveway for drop-off and unloading.

Children In Worship

kid friendlyWe welcome children of all ages in worship. Families are welcome, and encouraged, to worship together at St. John. Child-friendly bags containing soft toys are available in the gathering space at the entrance to the church. If your child becomes restless, the rear section of our Narthex is available for you to attend to your child’s needs and still participate in worship. A Nursery is also available if you feel your child is being louder than you’d like, but you would still like to hear the worship service. Please know that we understand that small children make noise and we welcome them in worship, complete with their noises. We also understand that there are times that little ones just can’t make it through a worship service.

Parking

St. John offers special parking for anyone who feels they could use close access to the church. This includes cars with and without handicap parking permits. This lot is located directly south of our sanctuary entrance and is marked in blue paint. Permits are required only where signs are located.

Assistive Listening Devices

Portable devices with earphones are available from our ushers for anyone who has difficulty hearing.
